Celebrating National Hispanic Heritage Month

Carmen Lomas Garza, Tamalada, 1990

North Carolina Humanities joins the nation in observing National Hispanic Heritage Month, which takes place from September 15 to October 15, to recognize and celebrate the diverse cultures, histories, and contributions of Americans of Hispanic and Latin American heritage. Throughout the year, NC Humanities works to celebrate and uplift histories, stories, and cultures of all North Carolinians.

In recognition of this cultural heritage month, we invite you to read through the below resources that explore and pay tribute to National Hispanic Heritage Month. This is just a short collection of the amazing resources that are available and we encourage our readers to explore beyond what we’ve listed. These resources should be read and enjoyed year-round.
