At North Carolina Humanities, we love books! Books make things better! Reading helps us explore new ideas and perspectives, strengthen our mental health, and enrich our lives. When people read and discuss a book together, like they did during our North Carolina Reads statewide book club this year, they can become more empathic, connected, and engaged community members – all of which we believe is important.
In order to help keep books and reading resources accessible to all in North Carolina, we need your help! During the next 30 days we hope to raise $10,000!
Thanks to the generosity of the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) all gifts made during this time will be matched dollar-for-dollar! For example, your gift of $20 will go twice as far to buy not just one book, but two books for readers! If we reach our goal of $10,000, you will help provide 1,000 books!
