Bring your lunch to the City of Raleigh Museum and enjoy a free presentation on Charles N. Hunter (1852–1931), nicknamed the “Booker T. Washington of North Carolina.” Hunter was a highly accomplished man in his time despite the Jim Crow laws that disenfranchised African Americans across the south. This talk will be presented by Hazel Boomer, Director of the Pope House Museum, and will be followed by a Q&A session. Lunchbox Lectures are free and all are welcome. Please call the COR Museum at 919-996-2220 if you would like more information or have questions.
